MUST HAVE GROUPAGE EXPERIENCE
JOB PURPOSE
To open, process and manage files for all groupage shipments exported on the designated trade
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Updating sailing schedule.
• Process bookings and send booking confirmation to customers.
• Follow up on stack dates with shipping lines and advise customers when stacks are firm.
• Clear Sentry reports on a daily basis.
• Send CTO instruction to ICS / TIC.
• Empty depot releases to be sent to shipping line prior to container collection.
• Ensure that [shipping instruction / Bill of entry] = prior to packing / Commercial invoice / packing list and fumigation certificate is received.
• Release loads on WMS, ensuring that ICS receives load list/packing instruction.
• Submit shipping line shipping instruction prior to shipping line deadline.
• Invoicing: Complete profiles for new shipments prior to vessel departure (giving TT Commercial sufficient time to process) / Profiles to be associated as soon as received from TT Commercial / Send invoices to customers once SOB confirmation has been received.
• Print, stamp and release bills for customer collection (proof of payment required if customer is not on credit). Confirm to customers in writing once consignment has arrived at destination.
• Process cargo dues / acquittals.
• Process invoices within 24 hours of receipt and send proof of payment to the party involved.
• Cost, close and post file within 4 days of vessel sailing.
• USA – AMS filing / EUR – ENS filing to be done & details to be sent out to customers.
• Issue telex releases as per SOP.
• Emails – assigning emails within the given timeslot, reading and replying to emails within 6 working hours of receipt.
• Meet monthly budget (Volume and Revenue).
• Back up for appointed Buddy.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
• Matric
• Relevant qualifications/experience will be an advantage
